One Gilgamesh may be able to accompany a 3x Cid team. Since the boss only has 110K HP, 4x Cid teams should have no problem taking it down. Cid can decrease lightning res by 38, DEF break, and haste himself with limit break. His skill Oborozuki, will never inflict Slow on the boss. He’ll work, but not as recommended as the previous units above. Thancred is probably the better option, with Keen Edge (2x chain) and Superbolide (50% DMG mitigation). These three can act as tanky bruisers with Vow of Love. He just hits hard and many people have him. Shining Double, Hard Slash, Hazard Break. Triple Blow, Shout, and large mobility allows him to take out the extras while supporting his team. Shadowlynx, Xiza, Gaffgarion, and even Whisper are all viable if built right.Sterne, another unit that just hits hard with or without skills, and has access to Triple Trick with Excorcist VC.Slow proc rate assuming Kain at 97 faith and boss at 50 faith: (97+50)(67-25)%= 61% chance to slow.Piercing Lance (-20 Pierce Res), Blood Lance, and even his limit burst Dragon’s Bane, can be incredibly useful. You can flex slash attacks with his subjob. 10% resistance to Pierce is not going to stop Kain from dishing out the pain. Her high evasion allows her to act as an evasion tank.

Armor Cleaver (-30 DEF), 3-hit slash ult, and large mobility allows her to take out the extras on the map immediately. Mighty Break (-43% ATK), Hazard Crusher (-30 DEF), and Double Attack (2x chain and light killer) will inflict incredible damage to this boss. Please give Duane plenty of slash resistance if you plan for him to tank. Recommended passives: Swift Shadow, Viking Lore. Duane can reduce boss’ dark res by 38% with Rising Twilight, and decrease their ATK by 43% with Sword Eater. You may even want to give Duane Vow of Love, so that the boss continues to target him.

You’ll want to give Duane his Hate passive so that the boss will target him.

Has the highest SPR for a raid boss ever, at 40SPR.
